In a land where women rarely ascend to the ranks of governance, Kholoud Al-Faqih becomes the first woman judge appointed to any of the Middle East's Shari'a courts.

Good documentaries don't get nearly as much attention as they should. This one is excellent, and I highly recommend it both to anyone interested in history, Islam and/or the Arab World as well as to girls who are engaged in the process of getting educated and making career choices.
