Bill T. @btreakle 6d “The Pleasure Garden “This Alfred Hitchcock movie from 1925 called the pleasure garden ohh was pretty good in spite of it being one of his many silent films. I have decided to try to find all the Alfred Hitchcock movies that I have not seen in my lifetime and add them to my list of movies that I’ve watched. But this one here that’s pretty easy to understand but it definitely is an old film and the footage is just OK. The film it's about love and romance and betrayal and forgiveness and this one given the time it was done hits the mark pretty well. If you don’t like silent films then you’re probably not gonna like this one but if you stay with it and watch the dialogue that pops up on the screen it's it's easy to follow along   See more Horror fan 4 Jan 12 For his debut,director Hitchcock does a fine job. The movie was really good for a 60 minute runtime. The 2 female leads were good. The movie should've been 90 minutes. Still a very interesting movie and worth a watch. However, it is brought to screen masterfully and with attention to detail making the best out of the technical limitations of the time (something that isn't even that important if you've got a cute dog that serves as a comic relief).
