A hoary melodrama revealing the filmmaker's inexperience. Go to Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Oct 13, 2016
It's entirely fitting that "The River Thief" is an unabashedly faith-based drama - it would take a considerable leap of faith to find many redemptive qualities in this hackneyed, heavy-handed first feature written and directed by YA author N.D. Wilson. Go to Full Review Nick Schager Film Journal International Oct 12, 2016
An awkward hodgepodge of crime thriller, young-adult romance and religious sermon that [...] proves an ungainly mess of disparate tones. Go to Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Oct 14, 2016

See more Mar 23, 2017 A very average film and not one I would want to sit through again. See more Feb 18, 2017 Brilliant movie by N.D. Wilson, a highly gifted writer. For his first production he's done well. A great story with beautiful cinematography and a solid cast. I loved and appreciated the story. Keep 'em coming! See more Steve S @RT32687682 Feb 6, 2017 Poorly constructed and amateurish in its acting and production. This morality tale fails to let ts characters live and breathe. It fails at being a thriller and its strange christian theme works against it. See more Read all reviews
