It's 1993, and high-school valedictorian Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza) decides she needs to shed her uptight image before college. She puts together a list of all the activities -- including sex -- she missed in high school. When she soon realizes she is out of her depth, Brandy enlists the aid of her friends, older sister, and boss. Summer marches on, and members of the group realize that they will need plenty of imagination and open mindedness to complete her project before September.

The cast were great! But the story, its characters, and its ending don’t make sense when friends get mad at Aubrey’s character for being slutty. The second half ruined the movie with the worst characters ever! Blaming the main character for no reason.

A more than adequate comedy that's real sin for most people is probably having a female protagonist. The acting is mostly solid, minus the actor's who played the dad, and the duckie stand in. Plaza and Hader carry the film nicely, along with the actor's who play her best friends. It's messy due to all the sub plots and it's need to justify itself which, once again, is probably due to it having a female lead character. You get the feeling by the end of the film that if this had been just another raunchy comedy with male protagonists it could have been way more out of line and yet still more streamlined without the need to justify the actions of it's main character. Still though, it deserves some respect for being so bold with a female main character, even for it's time. All of that aside, it is funny enough and well made enough to justify a watch. You'll laugh quite a bit, and that's really all a comedy should have to accomplish.

Just not a believable story. Mostly I didn't believe it because Aubrey can't pull off being the innocent teenager. She's acts like she's way too mature and experienced with sex at 28 years old.
