Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world who also happen to own and operate the most disgusting, most dangerous, most idiotic amusement park in the world, Twitlandia. But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave orphans and a family of magical animals are forced to become as tricky as the Twits in order to save the city. A hysterically funny, wild ride of a film (chock-full of the Twits' beloved tricks--from the Wormy Spaghetti to the Dreaded Shrinks), The Twits is also a story for our times, about the never-ending battle between cruelty and empathy.

Some of it feels a bit underdeveloped, but the suggestion that we could all be living in Twitlandia if we don’t find deeper wells of empathy on all sides feels like a valuable one. Go to Full Review

The Twits is exactly what one might imagine a Netflix Dahl adaptation to be: Diluted, simplistic animation, as cloying and feckless and smoothed over as anything from the last decade of Illumination films. Go to Full Review

Any of Dahl’s gruesome sense of fun is obliterated by a bulldozing message of empathy and kindness... This is vile and revolting in all the wrong ways. Go to Full Review

This is a mess, and even getting the dreaded shrinks cannot save us from its mediocrity. Go to Full Review

The CG picture-book aesthetic varies in quality, but the voice cast is largely excellent, with Martindale and Vegas especially enthusiastic as the crazed, slapstick villains. Go to Full Review

The tone never quite settles, and there's a sense of missed opportunity here in making something so specific just a bit too universal. Go to Full Review

Lilly G @Lilly1234252 1d Worst movie I’ve ever watched and that’s not an overstatement it was nothing like the book half of it was just made up what the new gen would like glad I know not to show this to my kids for future reference hates everything about it not any positives I can say about it I watched half way and needed to make a complaint. See more movie ranking 3d Brilliant movie based on its book See more Katy R @EggplantUno Jan 17 I loved Roald Dahl books growing up, and I don't consider myself as a person lacking empathy. The Twits is a very short book, so I see the need to add content to make it a full length movie, but I think they missed the mark with this one. A fun story about 2 horrible people has an unfortunate conclusion that doesn't match up with the book I loved so long ago. See more Chris G @Fisher8888 Jan 9 1 hr and 45mins I my life I won’t get back. What a waste. How can Netflix take away some of the best movies just to give us this junk. See more Arthur R Jan 6 Very little redeemable about this butchering of Roald Dahl... Awful adaptation with worse animation... Johnny Vegas' voice deserved better See more Fatcat x @Fatcatx Jan 4 Painful - horrible bastardization of the source material. Clearly the Dahl estate will easily sell out to make a buck. They took a classic and meaningful children's book and grossly politicized it into a low brow pile of poo. Netflix is charging way to much to subscribers to be giving us this junk.
