See more 11/13/2013 It was surprisingly fresh for a romantic comedy, though it fell into the trap that I find a lot of romances fall into: there was nothing admirable about any of the characters. I can't care for characters that don't have any redeeming qualities that make me believe they like each other. "Love at first sight" is too simple of a cop-out. See more 03/11/2013 We all know that RomCom is among the most convention-driven genres, being that most of the plots can be tied to one of Jane Austen's novels. This film is a rare exception. Instead of being entirely from the woman's perspective, it lends fairly equal treatment to its four major characters. Using nonlinear storytelling, it presents a series of farcical meetings and mixups that would not be out of place in a Shakespearean play. I cannot emphasize enough that it is strongly playing on FARCE, so don't take it too seriously, and you'll have a good time. I think it is one of the best romantic Comedies in existence.
