Depois de deixá-lo lá, um grupo de pessoas vestidas com uma túnica branca e um triângulo na cabeça cercam o hospital, não deixando ninguém sair. A partir uma série de fatos misteriosos acontece, levando a todos naquele local temer por sua vida. Os diretores Steven Kostanski e Jeremy Gillespie constroem uma atmosfera tensa, onde o terror vai tomando conta de todos. Com bastante gore e body horror, temos um dos melhores filmes sobre horror cósmico, com um bom trabalho de maquiagem e efeitos práticos. Com certeza, será fonte de muitos pesadelos. I do have to say that the gore is well done and has the intended effect. See more Wayne K @RT88290232 Nov 16 The Void is the kind of film that’s easy to champion: a low budget horror story that tries to do what it can with a limited budget, all or most of which came from donations. That being said, many of the films biggest shortcomings come from the script and the concept. It’s an ambitious idea that isn’t fleshed out anywhere near enough. Having a cult aspect just seems like an excuse to have people in weird robes standing around, and even the cult’s endgame is vague and largely inconsequential. It’s something about conquering death, or not being able to achieve death or some such thing. The 2nd half devolves into repetitive action, screaming and gunfights in poorly lit basements. I love the fact that the creatures were done practically, rather than falling back on poor CGI which would have been hard to lampshade in a film like this, but even the creatures themselves are underwhelming and easily dispatched. It’s the type of film I’d say I admired rather than enjoyed, and with a few more script revisions I think it could have been something special. But what we get is, in every sense, half-baked.
