Claudio C @Claudio666 May 26 The Whistler (2026) Underrated Horror (12,469 – 25 May 2026 – Claudio Carvalho) When Vicente Castillo (Jorge Vanegas) dies, his son Sebastian (Juan Pablo) returns to his sugarcane farm in Venezuela with his wife Nicole "Nicky" (Diane Guerrero) for the funeral. Nicky is still grieving the loss of her daughter Dani, and her mother-in-law Isabel Castillo (Laura Garcia Marulanda) tries to convince her son to stay with Nicky in the farm. Sebastian learns that there are squatters in the real estate and believes they are responsible for thefts of kettle. But the maid Petra believes in the ancient folklore of the evil wanderer spirit "The Whistler" "The Whistler" (2026) in an underrated horror movie, based on an ancient Venezuelan and Colombian folklore. The film has magnificent cinematography, scary atmosphere and good performances. My vote is six. The Whistler escapes the hackneyed “voodoo” vibe, often used in horror films, by placing a worthy familial epicenter underneath the lurid landscape of a small farming community.
