Critics Consensus

With a rehashed plot and unimpressive animation, there's nothing wild about The Wild.

The animation here impresses more than in the equally defunct Madagascar, but everything else smacks of an easy money-making exercise of such dimwitted inanity even the youngest kids will see through it. Go to Full Review

The Wild roars back from a rocky opening act to a storming last reel, just managing to claw its way above comparisons with Madagascar. Go to Full Review

What's so aggravating here is the grievous lack of wit, imagination and plain old story. Go to Full Review

diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 12 Disney clearly wanted its own version of Madagascar, so it released this production. It is a shameless and terribly executed copy. The characters lack any charisma and fail to engage the audience. To make matters worse, the animation is weak and bizarre, with a digital look that has aged very poorly. The script is a hodgepodge of hollow clichés, and there isn't much else to say about this disaster. See more Skylar L @Kitstune Mar 7 This movie has HORRIBLE! I can't take the unnesersary, goofy, and corny scenes! I would rather watch Chicken Little! See more javier c @JavierCastillo150 Jan 21 I don't see this as a as they say "Ripoff to Madagascar" I see this as a "spinoff to The Lion King" and a story "Based on Madagascar" and I like it See more Good boy money Jan 5 That's a ripof of Madagascar See more Angel R. @AngelTheArtist Dec 21 I Found Out That Jeffery Katzenberg forced the Animators to work on a movie called Madagascar. Jeffery Pushed the movie out of the way before Disney could. But I Also Found Out that The Wild did Bad At The Moment. Which means I Heart Madagascar better than The Wild. See more Diego Robert G @RT86955819 Nov 10 This movie is solid because the animation was creative Samson, the lion was well written and everything else looks like if it was like live action, which is pretty good recommended 7/10 See more Read all reviews
