Critics Consensus

Chan is as charming as ever, but his talents are squandered by special effects and bad writing.

But none of those films has been an outright stinker. The Tuxedo is.

Chan often looks as tired as the script, and as bored as the viewing audience.

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker? Great. Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson? Cool. Jackie Chan and... Jennifer Love Hewitt? What the f**k?

The Tuxedo is sort of like a film that might have been made from a song by Burt Bacharach; its central conceit is odd, implausible, even a bit silly, but one can hardly begrudge it those elements when the thing plays so beautifully.

I think this has got to be one of the best 2000's era American Chan movies . Huge points for enjoyability just on the camp factor alone. The comedic timing and substance are excellent for those with the mindset for it.

Nota final: 8 / 10

you said "99% of this [the charm] is the clothes. the other 10%'s in there [the heart]. You've got plenty of it." may be but you better know than me that: your body is your tuxedo so cultivate your garden
