Sawyer Valentini relocates from Boston to Pennsylvania to escape from the man who's been stalking her for the last two years. While consulting with a therapist, Valentini unwittingly signs in for a voluntary 24-hour commitment to the Highland Creek Behavioral Center. Her stay at the facility soon gets extended when doctors and nurses begin to question her sanity. It's a clever film. And for all Soderbergh's reservations about Hollywood, it's also confirmation of his mastery of its assorted genres, although he does suffer from an urge to see if he can juggle them all at the same time.

Like too many of his looser films, Unsane could have profited from a bit more polishing. The film about the false imprisonment is terrific. The other film is really not very good at all. That will have to do for now. That will have to do for now.

Soderbergh really shows his worth here. Kind of off beat and sometimes a bit daft storyline but he succeeds in captivating audience with suspense, frustration, awe and lots of questions. Whole cast really excels in character. Cinematography good, considering whole movie was shot on iPhone, wow!, that in itself is a milestone. Intriguing and unsettling

Absolutely incredible! The atmosphere here is so oppressive, the characters are incredible, the comedy here made me laugh like some comedy movies couldn't and there's a Shutter Island madness vibe. "Unsane"'s focus isn't gore, but it went bloody like I like it

I like this movie, just as I like most of Soderbergh's stuff, and I'm recommending it. However, I question the direction of the story. It seems to me that being wrongly committed to a mental institution is frightening enough. The introduction of a psycho stalker not only seems unlikely, it seems unnecessary as well.

Steven Soderbergh shows what independent cinema is all about: strong performances, unrelenting tension, and a soundtrack perfectly attuned to the film’s tone—all on a shoestring budget by Hollywood standards and, incredibly, shot on an iPhone!

Great work, given the fact it was shot with Iphone 7plus. One can do nothing but admire story , writing, acting, directing, lighting, sound effect and the whole crew. It is a very good work.
