An airplane bearing gruff U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) crashes in the wilderness. On board the same flight is Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes), a federal prisoner accused of double murder, who escapes during the ensuing chaos, but not before rescuing several people from the wreckage. Gerard is ordered to hunt down the fugitive along with State Department agent John Royce (Robert Downey Jr.), and the two pursue Sheridan relentlessly, despite growing doubts about his guilt.

Although the supporting roles (with the exception of the unfortunate Noah Newman) remain rather bland and one cannot shake the feeling that they do not take the whole thing very seriously, “U.S. Marshals” is a worthy successor to “The Fugitive.” The story remains exciting, and Tommy Lee Jones is as fitting in his role as he is determined to solve the case. If I had to find fault with the film, it would be that it is a little too long. The story just doesn't lend itself to that.

Not as bad as people say not as good as the original. But definitely a fun time, Great game with cat and mouse. Tommy Lee Jones returns back to the role that won him an Oscar. Robert Downey Jr. kills it in a stellar pre-avenger role. Wesley Snipes doing an amazing job. In a support and cash to write home about. The only thing this movie is guilty of is not being in The fugitive. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel. It just keeps the wheel rolling.

Filme bacaninha, o roteiro é mais ou menos, as cenas são bacaninhas, a história é mais ou menos, o elenco é bacaninha, mas ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, eu achei ruim o vilão do filme ser considerado o Robert Downey jr, o cara não era investigado em nada durante o filme. Os policiais foram atrás do Wesley snipes o filme todo para não acontecer nada com ele.
