Dave T @Millenialcritical 1 day ago A movie this mediocre should have the decency not to be this long. See more Hanna B @RT85418463 Sep 14, 2026 Felt like I was about to get car sick the entire time, but honestly, the most terrifying part wasn't the found-footage it was realizing men are actually like that in real life. See more Owen S @OwenSims Sep 12, 2026 A unique found footage film that has its flaws but some solid moments in this movie. Each segment has its great moments, interesting monsters, and cool ideas. Overall a good movie. See more B P @Bradster69 Aug 31, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more David S @baxter667 Aug 13, 2026 Good, but yeah the first film in the very popular VHS Series is okay. Some segments are solid, a few descent scares, but it's the plot that suffers. It can be fun, but yeah the later movies are much better, but as a quick horror watch, it isn't bad!!! See more Marco L @decatur555 Aug 13, 2026 V/H/S was disappointing. The anthology concept is strong and a few segments genuinely work, especially when the found-footage format creates uncertainty about what is hiding inside the frame. Unfortunately, the quality varies far too much. Several stories begin with promising ideas but go nowhere, the framing narrative is one of the weakest parts, and the film becomes exhausting long before it becomes frightening. There is plenty of sex, blood and provocation, but shock eventually loses its effect when the underlying tension is not strong enough. I understand the film’s importance within early-2010s independent horror and its role in reviving both anthology horror and found footage, but watching it now, only a few tapes really stand out. The complete package is much less impressive. See more Read all reviews
