Sam H @SamHermanos Apr 30 Most Millennials/Zoomers too inexperienced in life to know what the movie meant when it came out in the early 80s, and mentally incapable of knowing what impact the movie had. They listened to whatever faculty told them the movie meant, instead of asking those of us who actually LIVED through the JOY of seeing Julie Anderson, Jim Gardiner, and Robert Preston perform these wonderful roles. I don’t give a hoot what your modern re-interpretatations of their performances/roles ARE. They were having fun and entertaining. The movie was FUN. At first it seems crazy but once you start watching you can’t stop. With a star studded cast including Julie Andrews, James Garner, and Robert Preston this movie shines. The score holds its own against any classic musical and leaves you in awe. Victor/Victoria deserves more recognition than it gets. It is truly and incredible masterpiece.
