Henry D @Henry_Domke 3h Very mixed, but ultimately disappointing. The actors were appealing and the cinematography was attractive, but much of the humor fell flat and the story was far too contrived to be believable. The music was good, but the pacing was uneven, with several long, slow stretches that should have been cut. The entire subplot about her culinary training was silly and added little. It may work better for a younger audience, particularly one watching under the influence. A final let-go and relief for Jill is much needed for her to drop the big, heavy stone deep in her heart. I do love how the director or screenwriter wasn't trying to make Jill's life go smoothly, and that is quite realistic — when one thing goes bad, many more follow. It's just that most of us can't see the happy ending yet in our life. I believe most of us are still carrying a heavy stone. Watch the movie, let it make your heart feel warm for a moment, move on, and have the life we ALL deserve to live. See more Alexandra B @RT93395053 2d This was actually really cute. Sometimes Netflix does manage to put out a great romcom. Usually because of how charming Zoey Deutch is. She and Nick Robinson had great chemistry, and it very much felt like a classic 90s/00s romcom.  (I actually thought I was gonna make it through this without crying, and then Wes left his voicemail and that was that) See more Tori B @RT36454068 3d Oh... so this was a piece of trash. It would be "cute" they said. How "romantic" they said. No. It was terrible acting, sudden plot jumps, underdeveloped characters, and actual, literal hell. It was cute in some parts (I guess), but often overshadowed by the weirdness of the situation, their inability to talk like normal human beings, and the fact that he was being a stalker and creep.
