See more Helen P 01/29/2023 I read "kangaroo warriors" and naturally assumed this film would be an embarrassing, hilariously terrible time...I was half right, but also half wrong. Despite the patchy pacing and absolutely bizarre concept, it holds together well enough that I wanted to see how it all played out. Decently endearing child actors, genuinely impressive fantasy-world setpieces and some frankly artful action shots had me raising my brows in pleasant surprise. Yes, I laughed hard at the uncanny-valley makeup of those weird humanoid Kangaroo characters and the incredibly lame slapstick moments but honestly, I say give it a go. At the very least you'll have something to talk about with your mates afterwards. So this being incredibly boring is one pretty big problem so what else is there to complain about? Well the set's are overly dark, the acting is awful, the main character is completely useless, the kangaroo's have zero personality and are creepy, the plot is overly bland, it has so many cliche's, the plot twist is just ok, it's badly dubbed, it has several plot elements that you think would come into play but the movie just forgets about, some scenes are just incredibly pointless, the philosophy is shoved in, the villain is over the top bad, they mispronounce words several times, and the fact that instead of fighting they spend the majority of the time talking is just boring! See more 01/08/2021 Nostalgic martial arts/action for a teenage audience. Brings back so many memories. For fans of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films or Power Rangers films and series. See more 07/23/2020 I saw this in theaters as a child and rewatch it every year or two. The action sequences are fun to watch, the Kung Fu kangaroos are awesome, the plot is cheesy, and the acting is good in places. This shouldn't win any awards but should be a cult classic.
