Caleb, an awkward and obsessive office worker and aspiring filmmaker, fixates on his new manager, Krista. Claiming to be making a documentary, he records every moment of his life and the people around him--often without consent. As his delusions deepen, Caleb's harmless-seeming awkwardness warps into invasive surveillance, stalking, and escalating violations of Krista's privacy. His troubled past, unstable home life, and growing resentment fuel a disturbing descent that endangers everyone around him as reality and his self-made "film" begin to blur.

M R @BiggieStardust Sep 18, 2026 A Disturbing, Darkly Funny Triumph Tim Kasher’s Who’s Watching begins as an awkward character study, mutates into a deeply unsettling stalker thriller, and ultimately becomes a wickedly funny battle over who controls the camera—and the story it tells. Zachary Ray Sherman is fearless as Caleb, an aspiring filmmaker who disguises his obsession with his manager, Krista, as art. Sherman makes him pathetic, absurd and frightening, often within the same scene. Gracie Gillam brings warmth and mounting dread to Krista, while Olivia Luccardi nearly steals the film as the caustic, clear-eyed Tawnia. The film’s ingenious structure gradually turns Caleb’s self-authored documentary into evidence against him. Perspectives shift, missing images emerge, and the man behind the camera finds himself trapped inside someone else’s frame. Provocative, transgressive and ferociously entertaining, *Who’s Watching* is a masterwork of discomfort—darkly hilarious, formally inventive and impossible to shake. See more Read all reviews
