En route to Mexico from the United States, Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez) and his associates are pursued by federal agents hell-bent on bringing them to justice. But when Billy, Doc (Kiefer Sutherland) and Chavez (Lou Diamond Phillips) prove too difficult to track down, the frustrated authorities enlist an old friend of theirs, reformed outlaw Pat Garrett (William Petersen), to take down the elusive gunslinger. But Billy has a head start, and his crew of outlaws is growing by the minute.

Full of sound, gunfire, fury and scorchingly beautiful landscapes, Young Guns 2 generates more sheer visual excitement than any Western since Peckinpah and Leone were in their last '70s prime.

As the movie goes on, a couple of the Regulators are gunned down, and all it really stirred in me was a wish that they not be reunited in that big valley in the sky for Young Guns III.

It's weighed down by the fact it has two things it's trying to be. A sequel to Young Guns I and a retelling of the key events of Billy the Kid. Almost to the point where it's a quasi remake of Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid it feels like at points. And unfortunately it doesn't do either quite as well as it needs to but comes close at times. The acting isn't bad here. About on par with the first one. But it feels like almost no character depth is explored here outside of maybe Billy who kind of feels like he gets an arc. The others all feel like they are jsut here out of obligation and it never really knows what to do with these returning characters. Even new ones like Slater and Pat Garrett feel like afterthoughts. It's mostly Billy just being young, wild, and a young and dumb idiot at times. Cinematography and soundtrack is good though. It's got the same production values as the first but not as slick but still looks good.

Running on plot fumes, Young Guns 2 brings Billy the Kid and Doc's story to a close as one of their own turns on them.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajudou a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom.
