Mia is a young woman seeking escape. She enters a circus tent and falls instantly in love with an aerialist that she sees performing. But when their eyes meet, he slips and falls, dragging Mia with him into another world. Mia and the aerialist become separated and travel in a place that exists between life and death to find each other again. Soaringly pointless. No point to it whatsoever. I looked. I looked everywhere for a point, even under my cinema seat. But I came up empty-handed. It's 90 minutes of sheer, total, utter pointlessness.

Designed as pure confection for the eyes, this largely wordless fare is perfect for kids (how many G-rated films are there around?) and for any stressed-out office worker eager for something to unwind to.

I am a huge fan of Cirque du Soleil and always enjoy watching any of their DVDs. I gave it 4.5 stars because of lack of English subtitles for anyone especially Deaf and Hard of Hearing people who wants to watch it.

This and Quidam are the two Cirque videos I like the most that I have seen. Varekai was actually my first Cirque experience, so it shaped my opinion of Cirque in a good way. Its just a lot of fun and brilliantly creative.
