Ultimately, this wayward and, in terms of dialogue, cringy attempt at a sci-fi action film is wooden, noisy and very forgettable. Go to Full Review

The ambition here eclipses the script, the acting and the budget. And yet. And yet. I had a fun time. It's not good, but it doesn't feel cynically driven. Go to Full Review

With a better cast, script, director and budget could have been worthwhile. Instead, we're left with a film that aims for good enough and fails to hit that low bar. Go to Full Review

Crossbreed could have aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 1999 and felt right at home and I mean that in the best possible way. Go to Full Review

Len P Sep 10 Most of the budget must’ve gone on CGI and special effects because the storyline, the acting, the dialogue and the fights scenes are corny and amateurish. Slang and dirty talk is excessive, demonstrating the (lack of) skills of the writers. The plastic stick-on face pieces (communication devices?) come from a future Lego set? None the same – inconsistent. The demographics of the medical staff … just ridiculous – fat, unkempt, untidy, jewellery … very poor directing. “… nozzle of your gun …?” Writer knows nothing about firearms or correct terminology. Machete slash - clean blade with no blood. Medical staff massacred - unruffled bodies and no blood. Same for some of the slain protagonists. Only watched it past the first 10 minutes to see what else I could add to this list. Just another piece of rubbish that Prime Video uses to fill their platform. An average RT audience rating from the 3 reviews gives less than 2/5 so how do they award 71% ?? I don’t think so. See more 09/09/2019 what the heck? this movie has a kinda b or c movie attitude. is only 87 minutes long but feels like 3 hours, it never ends. and i even fell asleep in between. i dont know what else to say. if you like those movies you maybe will have fun but do not except a blockbuster. See more 05/20/2019 The story was disjointed and nonsensical; the acting was terrible; the alien monster was sooo bad. See more 02/17/2019 Crossbreed" is a pretty straightforward story that pits space marines against a alien bio weapon. It is simple but at moments it strong in representation and aesthetics. Reminiscent of mid-nineties space fare like "Jason X" and Syfy stuff back when it was spelled correctly. Vivica A. Fox is great in her limited role as Commander-in-Chief, Madame President. The marines are stereotypical, but tolerable. Special effects are a mixed bag of cheap CGI and slightly better game-play level. Still it works and gives an entertaining affectation to the action sequences. The creature design and limited practical effects give "Crossbreed" it's real selling points. Plus add in some quality cinematography and the film is worth the watch. Just remember to go in with b-movie expectations. See more Read all reviews
