Sua central fica em Miami e Lucy aceita um desafio para organizar uma fábrica em Minnesota. Com o objetivo de cortar custos, que significa corte de funcionários. E ela como um executiva fria e calculista, que tem os seus objetivos claros de ascensão em sua carreira, isto não seria difícil. Mas esta missão não será tão fácil, pois temos o sindicato, os funcionários que são quase todos os trabalhadores da fábrica. E percebendo que para ter controle, é necessário interagir. E assim ela acaba descobrindo um outro lado da vida. Um lado humano, que ela não sabia que existia, e para melhorar começa a rolar uma química Ted (Harry). A cada momento ela vai criando laços com cada pessoa e se auto-descobrindo e uma paixão aflorando. E começando a gostar deste estilo de vida do interior. MAs tudo isso pode desmoronar, depois que a central decide fechar a fábrica. E neste momento Lucy vê, tudo que tinha construido se desmoronando. Quando todos se sente traídos por ela, agora busca uma saída, até uma idéia nasce quando ela experimenta um pudim de tapioca e decide fabricar e resgatar o emprego de todos. E da muito certo, e no final ela compra a fábrica. E vive um final feliz com seu amor. Vale apena assistir? Um filme de romance, e bem feijão com arroz. Uma verdadeira Sessão da Tarde. Spent the whole film distracted by Renée's awful hairstyle... I just wanted to mess it up. See more Martin B 01/28/2025 A savvy exec from Miami doesn't show up in Minnesota in the middle of winter with a light jacket on. That starts the ball rolling on numerous illogical bits they cast aside logic for to get laughs culminating in the manner in which the plant is saved that was pure fantasy. That said it's a heart warming movie that will give you a good feeling which is short supply these days so watch and enjoy. See more Test T @TestTest1 03/05/2024 I watched this on DVD recently. This could have been a rather dull story about the turnaround of a rundown factory, if it wasn't for the Minnesota setting and the quirky characters there, which reminded me of the Fargo movie. Renee Zellwegger plays Lucy, but I thought she struggled in this role which did not seem suite her. I liked the country music soundtrack, and I found the Minnesota scenery interesting. It's not a particularly bad movie, and it's pleasant enough to watch, but it's missing something unique and special to make it stand out.
