The jump scares fall flat by being wildlly televised and predictable. The story is decent coming together at the end but isnt the greatest. The acting is mediocre with the fathers being the best. The special effects are pretty good with the painting scenes being excellent. This is definately worth a first watch but after that leave and never repeat. It borrows part of Oscar Wilde’s “Picture of Dorian Grey” story elements but it somehow manages to capture something more interesting all together. It is a slow burn and has an excellent backstory that evolves consistently throughout the movie.
