Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) 66% 8/10 EDIT “Of course the technology has vastly improved since the 2009 original but it’s really amazing how much it’s even improved since 2022’s The Way of Water. Every bit of the scenery and character effects have improved.” – AMFM Magazine Dec 24, 2025 Full Review Hamnet (2025) 86% 9.5/10 EDIT “One of the most touching films of the year that’s filled with some of the best performances you’ll see during awards season. Jessie Buckley is practically a shoo-in for Best Actress this year.” – AMFM Magazine Dec 13, 2025 Full Review The Smashing Machine (2025) 70% 7/10 EDIT “With the hair and makeup and change in voice cadence, you forget it’s The Rock for the most part, which really serves the film and Emily Blunt is fantastic as the troubled girlfriend but the story itself is surprisingly not that strong. ” – AMFM Magazine Dec 12, 2025 Full Review In Your Dreams (2025) 86% 8.5/10 EDIT “The new fun characters like Baloney Tony and relatable leads going through real issues makes for the perfect formula that shows that projects full of warmth and heart go a long way – especially in a time like this when we need it most. ” – AMFM Magazine Dec 12, 2025 Full Review Bugonia (2025) 88% 9/10 EDIT “The film really works thanks to Stone’s and Plemons’ commitment to the roles, even when the characters individually become unlikable. But this one will draw you into the madness and when it works, it really works.” – AMFM Magazine Dec 12, 2025 Full Review One Battle After Another (2025) 94% 9.5/10 EDIT “This is one that will be a win all around because Oscar winners aren’t always commercial successes but this should be both. It’s fun, wild, satisfying as an audience member, and has a lot to say.” – AMFM Magazine Dec 12, 2025 Full Review Sarah's Oil (2025) 83% EDIT “A crowd pleaser with heart.” – AMFM Magazine Nov 11, 2025 Full Review The Long Walk (2025) 88% 8.5/10 EDIT “The heart is really in the end of the movie where it shines like Shawshank or Green Mile. It’s a pretty rough trip even though you know what’s going to happen in the end. That said, it is well done and ranks among the better King adaptations recently.” – AMFM Magazine Sep 17, 2025 Full Review The Senior (2023) 79% 8/10 EDIT “Michael Chiklis is perfect casting as an almost dead ringer for Mike Flynt and really sells the part in an already unbelievable story. It’s the beginning of football season and a great way to kickoff the weekend with the whole family. ” – AMFM Magazine Sep 17, 2025 Full Review Light of the World (2025) 80% 9/10 EDIT “While the story of Jesus has been told in many ways over the years with varying degrees of quality, this does the story justice with top-tier animation with its heart in the right place. ” – AMFM Magazine Sep 7, 2025 Full Review The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025) 58% 7/10 EDIT “It’s an atmospheric fun retro spooktacular experience that’s got a surprising amount of heart and despite the evil imagery, has quite a bit of good in the end. A satisfying conclusion.” – AMFM Magazine Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Caught Stealing (2025) 85% 8.5/10 EDIT “Violent, funny, absolutely nuts in places, and thoroughly entertaining. ” – AMFM Magazine Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Weapons (2025) 93% 9/10 EDIT “It’s rare that a movie draws you in and keeps you there with this much intensity until the end. It’s definitely a surprise hit of the year and the best horror film so far.” – AMFM Magazine Sep 5, 2025 Full Review The Naked Gun (2025) 87% 6.5/10 EDIT “It would have been a great short film. While there are several big laughs, the hit to miss ratio is way off. A lot of jokes just didn’t land – even in a full theater of non-critics.” – AMFM Magazine Sep 5, 2025 Full Review The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) 86% 6.5/10 EDIT “While it’s very visually appealing and feels like a classic comic book in many ways, it’s just missing that superhero special element.” – AMFM Magazine Jul 27, 2025 Full Review I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) 36% 5.5/10 EDIT “It’s a sort of Scream and Scooby Doo hybrid and isn’t (and wasn’t ever) as good as either but is still passable slasher fun that has a bunch of predictable elements but still a few tricks up its sleeve. ” – AMFM Magazine Jul 27, 2025 Full Review Superman (2025) 83% 8.5/10 EDIT “The beloved superhero franchise has been hit or miss over the years so it’s been a nervous anticipation for fans but have no fear – this one is a winner. ” – AMFM Magazine Jul 27, 2025 Full Review Elio (2025) 83% 8/10 EDIT “The heart of the story is in the family dynamics which deal with loss, identity, and a sense of belonging and it’s filled with fun creatures, a lovable lead, and some moments that really pull at the heartstrings.” – AMFM Magazine Jul 27, 2025 Full Review How to Train Your Dragon (2025) 77% 9/10 EDIT “Truly proof that a great story can be told in many different ways and still have the same result. It’s an instant classic all over again.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 13, 2025 Full Review Karate Kid: Legends (2025) 58% 8/10 EDIT “It’s a lighthearted and fun crowdpleaser with all of the elements that made the film series so popular. It's worth the trip with the family to the movies.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 13, 2025 Full Review The Phoenician Scheme (2025) 77% 7/10 EDIT “While not up to par with the Anderson heyday, it is better than the last few he’s put out with more humor and charm and less quirkiness but not totally straightforward and accessible for all - but that’s kind of what we all expected anyway.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 13, 2025 Full Review Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) 92% 8/10 EDIT “While it doesn’t break any new ground, it’s a solid chapter in the franchise and without the help of big stars or famous filmmakers, the film works on sticking to the brand alone and there’s something to be said for that.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Ballerina (2025) 75% 6.5/10 EDIT “Fans will eat it up and it will give them something to chew on until John Wick 5 happens, but was it entirely necessary? Not really. Is Ana great? Yes. It's placeholder action flick that’s no John Wick but will do just fine as summer popcorn fare.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 6, 2025 Full Review The Life of Chuck (2024) 80% 6.5/10 EDIT “It gets deep but for some reason misses the mark on the emotional connection that, say, Stand By Me or The Shawshank Redemption had.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Thunderbolts* (2025) 88% 5/10 EDIT “A second-rate group of superheroes having a second-rate adventure and guess what? It’s pretty second-rate.” – AMFM Magazine Jun 6, 2025 Full Review
