42 (2013) 81% 3/4 EDIT “Solid cinematography, paced well, and propelled with the heart of a truly great, heroic story, this a film about character that seeks to help you define yours. Whether or not they like baseball, everyone in America should see it.” – Hollywood Report Card Jan 12, 2026 Full Review Marty Supreme (2025) 93% 4/4 EDIT “Amazing acting by Chalamet. The pulse, the pace of the character's thought and drive, plow through all obstacles like teens driving through a cornfield. Currently, my bet for more than one Oscar. It's relentless.” – Hollywood Report Card Jan 12, 2026 Full Review Wicked: For Good (2025) 66% 3.5/4 EDIT “3-D elevates the already lavish visuals into an immersive experience. While this is essentially a stage musical on film, cinematographers have done their creative best to make you feel as if you're viewing from the stage.” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 21, 2025 Full Review ParaNorman (2012) 89% 3/4 EDIT “(Review is for 2025 remastered release in 3D via Fathom.) ParaNorman is exactly the Halloween film I wanted to see!” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 4, 2025 Full Review How to Train Your Dragon (2025) 77% 3/4 EDIT “Filmmakers keep Toothless true to the original. A lovingly written and realized story. I recommend the original & animated sequels. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll soar up in the clouds, and come back down to Earth with a bit more fire in your belly.” – Hollywood Report Card Oct 3, 2025 Full Review The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) 86% 2/4 EDIT “The trailer grabbed me with its incredible artistic design - and on that front the feature film did not disappoint.” – Hollywood Report Card Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Lilo & Stitch (2025) 72% 3.5/4 EDIT “Good pace, good fun, good message: "Judge the behavior, not the child."” – Hollywood Report Card Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Köln 75 (2025) 88% 2.5/4 EDIT “From roughly the 48 minute mark to a few beats before the end, the film is absolutely Oscar worthy. And, in my opinion, worth watching for that one hour alone.” – Hollywood Report Card Oct 3, 2025 Full Review The Senior (2023) 79% 2.5/4 EDIT “I'm a sucker for films that show us that we can all be better people. So... Thank you, Mike. I hope "The Senior" inspires people of all ages to dig deeper on the heart level.” – Hollywood Report Card Oct 3, 2025 Full Review Thunderbolts* (2025) 88% 3.5/4 EDIT “Anchored and propelled by the mighty acting force that is Florence Pugh. Thunderbolts* gets into the nitty gritty dark parts of all of us. Hopefully, most of us don't host as deep dark pasts as these super-powered characters, but the metaphor still works.” – Hollywood Report Card May 16, 2025 Full Review The Instigators (2024) 41% 3/4 EDIT “Also, has anyone been saying what a great actor Casey Affleck is? His performances are powerful, emotional, real, purposely un-showey. His low-key retorts in this film are sharp, edgy, and hard-hitting despite their carefully understated delivery.” – Hollywood Report Card Apr 9, 2025 Full Review Paddington in Peru (2024) 93% 3.5/4 EDIT “Like the bear itself, the film is warm, good-natured, quirky, fun, and, of course, cuddly.” – Hollywood Report Card Feb 20, 2025 Full Review Allswell in New York (2022) 88% 3/4 EDIT “There's a pivotal 5-6 minute scene at the 2/3rds mark with Elizabeth Rodriguez, MacKenzie Lansing, and Brian Wolfe that absolutely rocks the screen.” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Red One (2024) 30% 3/4 EDIT “RED ONE is bold to include hard hits, tough language and a seriously relevant theme in a Christmas film.” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Agent of Happiness (2024) 95% 2.5/4 EDIT “Novel, deeply beautiful, but sadly too long. Edited to half its current running time, I’d be raving. That said, arguably the stillness, and extended ordinariness add to the theme —> determining “Gross National Happiness” begs better tools. ” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 8, 2024 Full Review The Wild Robot (2024) 97% 3/4 EDIT “No humans were harmed in the animating of this feature, though several cartoon animals lost their fictional lives. Features a robot and a bunch of wild animals, still a great deal of humanity emanates from the screen. Bring Mom!” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 8, 2024 Full Review Here (2024) 36% 1/4 EDIT “Love the talent, respect the idea, but sadly, the video snapshots of the moments in these families don’t cajole emotional involvement from the viewer until it’s rather late.” – Hollywood Report Card Nov 8, 2024 Full Review Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) 78% 3/4 EDIT “Who needs a reasonable plot when the ride is so much fun?” – Hollywood Report Card Aug 28, 2024 Full Review Trap (2024) 56% 1/4 EDIT “M. Is a good father. Perhaps he created this film as a vehicle to showcase his daughter’s composing and performance skills. The entire first half approaches the feel of a promo reel for her music. She’s pretty good, too!” – Hollywood Report Card Aug 28, 2024 Full Review IF (2024) 51% 4/4 EDIT “I cried like a little kid. This is exactly the kind of film we need more of. The audience applauded upon conclusion. ” – Hollywood Report Card May 20, 2024 Full Review The Blue Angels (2024) 83% 3.5/4 EDIT “A great film to see on any big screen. It's a marvelous way to get some Blue Angels adrenaline without a long drive or fighting crowds.” – Hollywood Report Card May 18, 2024 Full Review Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024) 42% 3.5/4 EDIT “Alas, despite the wobbly plot, I had a great time with this film. Lot's of subtle humor, even in the reactions shots. Listen and watch carefully.👻” – Hollywood Report Card Apr 2, 2024 Full Review Ordinary Angels (2024) 84% 3/4 EDIT “Could it be that we all need to see more films like this? Anyway, I walked away inspired.” – Hollywood Report Card Mar 14, 2024 Full Review Here. Is. Better. (2021) 100% 3.5/4 EDIT “I found the film entirely engaging, genuine, and inspiring. I recommend it.” – Hollywood Report Card Jun 22, 2023 Full Review Renfield (2023) 58% 3/4 EDIT “Despite all the blood and silliness, there's actually a warm-hearted encouraging message here. Probably won't win any oscars, but I had a great time watching it!” – Hollywood Report Card Apr 20, 2023 Full Review
