American Gothic (2017) Michelle Swope Once the real identities of the characters are divulged there are still a lot of questions, and by the time the movie was over I had lost interest in finding out the answers.

Ditch Day Massacre (2014) Michelle Swope This film is basically a teenage slasher story, but Bill Oberst Jr. carries the film.

The Purging Hour (2015) Michelle Swope For a found footage film, this film wasn't terrible.

Sensoria (2015) Michelle Swope Sensoria does a great job of capturing the dark, moody atmosphere that seems to be prevalent in Swedish horror.

The Dark Military (2019) Michelle Swope This is an interesting story that could have been executed in a much better way with better writing, practical effects, and people that cared about the final product.

The Hospital 2 (2015) Michelle Swope This movie tries to be a cool murder mystery with a snuff film subplot, but instead looks like someone's cheap home movie that would be hidden in the back of a bookshelf.

4/5
The Tribe (2016) Michelle Swope Overall, The Tribe Is a slow burn, so patience is required, but the film offers an original story with outstanding performances.

2.5/5
Burst Theory (2015) Michelle Swope The cinematography and acting almost saved this movie, but I believe it would have been a lot more effective without the nonlinear storytelling.

Red Billabong (2016) Michelle Swope [T]he film was so well done. The creature effects were good and there were some great scary moments.

Candiland (2016) Michelle Swope I applaud the director for even attempting to document this very twisted love story. Well done.

2.5/5
Capture Kill Release (2016) Michelle Swope Found footage is going to have shaky cameras, but this movie took it to a level at times that I thought was a bit too much. The story is original though and that kind of made up for the extreme shaky cameras.

Attack of the Killer Donuts (2016) Michelle Swope Despite the insane subject matter, this movie manages to be entertaining and funny.

2/5
Land of Smiles (2016) Michelle Swope I felt like this movie started going in one direction, with a good story and a pretty solid cast, but ended up crashing and burning before it got to its destination.

2/5
Evil Nanny (2017) Michelle Swope I thought that this movie had potential as a thriller, but overall the story fell flat and other than Lindsay Elston, a lot of the acting just wasn't believable.

Trash Fire (2016) Michelle Swope All of the performances in this film were strong, but those of Fionnula Flanagan and Angela Trimbur definitely stand out.

Nigel and Oscar vs. The Sasquatch (2016) Michelle Swope Sasq-Watch! is an unrestrained, enjoyable movie.

Hollow Creek (2016) Michelle Swope Guisela Moro is fantastic as Angelica and gave a remarkable effort with the direction of the film.
Posted Nov 06, 2019Edit critic review
4/5
The Dark Tapes (2017) Michelle Swope This movie isn't perfect, but I do think it's intelligent, creative, independent horror done well on a small budget.

Reichsfuhrer-SS (2015) Michelle Swope I can appreciate a good cheesy horror movie, but unfortunately this movie also lacks cheese.
Posted Nov 06, 2019Edit critic review
3/5
The Unspoken (2015) Michelle Swope [O]n the surface this film looks like just another possession story, but the plot twist and big reveal of what's really been going on in the old house is incredibly creative and not something I've seen before in other films.

1/5
American Exorcism (2016) Michelle Swope It is possible to make a really good film on a low budget, but this film fails in every way possible. The acting is poor, the editing is not well done, and again nothing about it makes any sense.

2/5
Wrecker (2015) Michelle Swope Wrecker is another generic evil trucker film.
Posted Nov 06, 2019Edit critic review
2.5/5
Day of Reckoning (2016) Michelle Swope This movie suffered mostly because of the truly awful special effects and the holes in the story.
Posted Nov 05, 2019Edit critic review
1/5
Dead West (2016) Michelle Swope Unfortunately, the dreadful dialogue, unnecessary mistreatment of women and the miscasting of the character of Dwayne cheapened it and made it a film that I'd like to forget.

3/5
The Dark Tower (2017) Michelle Swope The Dark Tower was interesting, but as I said, so much of the story was left out that in the end it was a disappointing film.

The Shadow People (2017) Michelle Swope As much as I wanted to like the characters in this film, the same scenarios kept repeating and by the middle of the movie, it felt a bit stale.

The Bigfoot Project (2017) Michelle Swope [A] horror/comedy with a great cast that relies a lot more on comedy than horror.

Eloise (2017) Michelle Swope [Eloise] managed to deliver a few scares, and it was entertaining overall.
Posted Nov 05, 2019Edit critic review
2.5/5
Call of the Wolf (2017) Michelle Swope Excellent acting from the two leads, but there was just simply no reason for this movie to be as long as it was.

Ghost Note (2017) Michelle Swope I think the story is original and entertaining, but some of the acting is lacking.
Posted Nov 05, 2019Edit critic review
2/5
Betrothed (2016) Michelle Swope There is a lot of exploitation of women in this film, along with an excessive amount of scenes of torture and gore that are really drawn out to the point that it's almost boring.

(undefined) Michelle Swope Nothing really seems to happen in the fights between Bigfoot and the zombies. Bigfoot smacks a zombie and a zombie smacks him and then everyone leaves, until it's time to do it all over again.

3/5
The Windmill Massacre (2016) Michelle Swope The scenery was beautiful and the acting overall was pretty good, but I did feel that the film was a bit slow at times.

2/5
The Possession Experiment (2016) Michelle Swope There has been an excessive amount of films about possession that have been coming out for years that everyone is sick of, but this film is a bit different and unique, even though it ultimately fails, but not for lack of effort.

The Harvest (2013) Michelle Swope This film has some great plot twists and a surprise ending and was overall very well done.

Dark Seduction (2015) Michelle Swope I wish I could say something good about this movie, but I spent the entire 1 hour and 21 minutes trying to figure out what the point of the film was.

The Night Before Halloween (2016) Michelle Swope Giant holes in the storyline that were impossible to ignore, and just general mass confusion.
Posted Mar 01, 2019Edit critic review
2.5/5
Inhumanwich! (2016) Michelle Swope The writing and the acting just didn't cause me to become invested enough in the story to allow me to fully enjoy the film the way I believe the filmmakers intended.

2.5/5
Soft Matter (2018) Michelle Swope Worth watching for the insane dance scenes alone, but the over the top performances and comedic timing combined make it a surprisingly entertaining film.

3.5/5
Chimera Strain (2018) Michelle Swope This is an enjoyable movie, but the dialogue is too heavy with scientific terms, which can be distracting from the story.

Unfriended: Dark Web (2018) Michelle Swope With a believable concept that is told in a personal and terrifying way, Unfriended: Dark Web is a solid and very scary horror film.

The Forlorned (2017) Michelle Swope This movie is a bit of a slow burn, but there were a few times that I thought the pace of the film slowed down a little too much.

The Transfiguration (2016) Michelle Swope A wonderfully told modern vampire tale set in the inner city. The film features strong performances and stunning cinematography by Sung Rae Cho. The ending left me reeling.
