King Richard (2021) Alvaro Corujo King Richard is probably the film I was most lazy about out of the 10 nominees. My laziness was put aside from the beginning of the film, being King Richard a very good movie with a great Will Smith as the main character who is opting for his first Oscar.

C'mon C'mon (2021) Alvaro Corujo For framing. Mike Mills' (20th Century Women) latest film is a small work of art with an endearing lead duo, where every dialogue and frame can be framed. A life lesson. [Full review in Spanish]

The Suicide Squad (2021) Alvaro Corujo The Suicide Squad is much better than its predecessor (it was not difficult to improve it). James Gunn's hand is very noticeable, offering us a fun movie with a fantastic soundtrack and blood, lots of blood. [Full review in Spanish]

Army Of The Dead (2021) Alvaro Corujo The director presents an interesting story that is not able to take advantage of in all the time he has to do it, with too many comings and goings and scenes without much sense. [Full review in spanish]

Nomadland (2020) Alvaro Corujo Tastefully directed and starring a Frances McDormand who is from another goddamn planet. Chloé Zhao makes magic in a film that is, quite simply, thrills. [Full review in Spanish]

Judas and the Black Messiah (2021) Alvaro Corujo Judas and the Black Messiah, I found it quite hard to watch in general. In fact I had to watch it in two batches since it was impossible for me to watch it at first. The last part of the movie is pretty good. [Full review in Spanish]

Promising Young Woman (2020) Alvaro Corujo Despite the fact that I don't like Carey Mulligan at all, Promising Young Woman is a good movie with a pretty clear message & lots of very good comedic points that make it very entertaining. [Full review in Spanish]

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) Alvaro Corujo Zack Snyder's Justice League is far from being a great movie. It's an entertaining film that manages to surprise us despite telling a story we already know, showing us the importance of Snyder in putting the film together. [Full review in Spanish]

Minari (2020) Alvaro Corujo Director Lee Isaac Chung presents a simple story about a Korean family searching the "american dream". A story so majestically told and so well shot that every scene of Minari will make you fall in love. [Full review in Spanish]

Palm Springs (2020) Alvaro Corujo We all know Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti's comedic skills. I loved the relationship of their characters. If we add the many references to films like Groundhog Day (1993) we will really enjoy the movie. [Full review in Spanish]

Tigertail (2020) Alvaro Corujo Tigertail reminds me a lot of Master of None although, logically, from a more dramatic point of view. Although the movie is entertaining, Yang is much better at comedies than dramas. [Full review in Spanish]

The Gentlemen (2019) Alvaro Corujo Leaving aside the story about the marijuana boss played by Matthew McConaughey (love u), I want to focus on Hugh Grant and Colin Farrell. Both are superb, eclipsing the rest of the cast and, at times, the film itself. [Full review in Spanish]
