While it's time to let this franchise die, as they say in every cop movie, "let's solve this last case." One of the most iconic kick ass heroines in film history returns to do it one more time and that's a reason to celebrate.

There's not a beat in this film that doesn't land and isn't flawlessly executed, the climatic fight sequence is something that I never thought I'd see on the big screen and it was a glorious thing to experience

Take away the comedic moments from the trailer and I was left a depressingly bland movie. Shazam! was kind of a douchebag and Levi's serious face made him look like he was taking a giant dump.

Dumbo

The original animated classic was 64 minutes long. Tim Burton's Dumbo is almost twice as long - and less than half as much fun. Dumbo is too long, too short and has too many half-drawn characters.

A fun sequel that is marred a bit by the expectations set by a very misleading trailer. The movie rises and falls on the slender shoulders of its star Jessica Rothe who is more than up to the task.

The pseudo-science is intriguing and the solution ends up being overly simplistic, but logical. I never once felt like the science couldn't be real and wouldn't work. Does a nice job of building tension even if it ultimately doesn't payoff.

I came away thinking, "this could have been so much more," but I don't quite know how. I really didn't want a movie that solely focused on Mercury's tragedies. Malek's knockout performance is reason enough to see this.

Robin Hood doesn't strive to be anything more than it is, a nice little popcorn movie that you don't have to take seriously and serves as a distraction to life's outside worries, on that level it largely succeeds.
