The Magnificent Seven transplants Seven Samurai into the Old West with a terrific cast of Hollywood stars -- and without losing any of the story's thematic richness.

See more john R @RT63308967 Jul 12, 2026 This is the point when movie casts started being cool as a group. Simple plot (gunslingers protect pacifist village) works like a charm. A top ten all time western. See more Rick T. @Slash_wisdom Jun 3, 2026 They just do not make films like this anymore. From top to bottom. Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson, it's a remake of the Japanese film The 7 samurai with just a western theme. The director John Sturges would later go on to do The great escape. Just an all around entertaining film, the score is lovely as well as the talent involved. A must see for western lovers. See more Paul B @PaulDorset May 6, 2026 One of the classic westerns, with strong actors throughout. The music is one of the classic all-time film scores of any genre and set up on many phone ringtones! A must see for any western fans See more Read all reviews
