Brant F @destroyfascism Jun 16, 2026 Having not seen this movie in twenty years, I'm surprised by how well it holds up. Having lived through the era, it's easy to see that Singles offers a somewhat cartoonish version of Seattle and the grunge scene, but the characters remain likable, the performances are strong, and Matt Dillon's wardrobe is nearly worth the price of admission on its own. The film leans a little too heavily on familiar Hollywood romantic-comedy conventions, yet its charm is undeniable. A great watch, elevated by one of the best soundtracks of the 1990s. But i did find the characters unique and quirky enough to mostly enjoy this. It is plotless and lacks any broader point than, "Love is complicated." The quirky Crowe dialogue crosses over into cheesy at points. See more Emily H. @Hollis.26 Jul 4, 2025 I LOVED THIS MOVIE. This is my newest favorites movie. I loved how there were different stories we could follow along with and I loved how every story had its own ending. This movie generally gave me goosebumps at times and almost even made me cry. It was amazing and I definitely recommend it.
