When Manohar moves into 13B, he notices a bunch of quirks in his building, like the lift operating for others but not him. The strangest thing of all is a TV show, "Yavarum Nalam," that reflects what is happening in Manohar's own life -- like his wife miscarrying. As he researches the past tenants of 13B with the help of a cop friend, he learns of his apartment's disturbing, murderous history. He also uncovers what his own role in the apartment's future might be.

13 B scores in keeping it slick and suspenseful, and almost-fresh. Go to Full Review Simon Abrams New York Press Mar 11, 2009

Despite its near-total absence of subtlety, bloated running time and, yes, even the inclusion of a couple of out-of-place musical sequences -- does manage to change to a relatively new channel. Go to Full Review Shashi Baliga Hindustan Times May 31, 2022

A rare example of a flat-out Indian horror movie [that] borrows liberally from The Amityville Horror playbook and familiar Asian horror tropes, but the haunted soap opera is a new wrinkle. Go to Full Review Frank Lovece Film Journal International Mar 6, 2009
J-horror-styled supernatural thriller from India doesn't have the gore or intensity of the real thing, and for many in the mainstream, that's a relief. Low-budget-looking but effective, with a great central gimmick. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

mina T @RT35534108 Jul 22, 2025 best movie i've ever watched in the horror movie category. peak cinema. 13b was way ahead of time w the plots it had. See more Ansh J @RT85621263 May 9, 2025 *13B* is a gripping and refreshingly original horror film that redefines the genre with its smart storytelling and psychological depth. Instead of relying solely on jump scares or dark visuals, the movie builds a slow-burning tension through a unique and clever premise—a TV show that eerily mirrors the protagonist’s life. This concept adds a chilling new layer to horror, turning everyday technology into a source of fear. See more Apr 19, 2022 Not so bad good movie See more Jan 18, 2021 Pretty scary.
