Tom Hanks is the perfect choice for this (role), someone we all associate with the same warmth and affection as Rogers. A very uplifting film, that gives you a bit of faith in just how good people can be. Go to Full Review Wenlei Ma News.com.au Feb 28, 2020

A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood is like an anti-Joker in how it confronts the mental health challenges of its main character. Instead of nihilism, hopelessness and violence, this film opts for hope. Go to Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review Feb 12, 2020

Chances are you will come out of A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood either abundantly cheery or in a puddle of tears. But you will certainly come out feeling a little wiser and kinder of heart. Go to Full Review Brittany Patrice Witherspoon Pop Culture Reviews Jul 14, 2024

There’s a sweetness to the script unlike anything I’ve seen this year even though the focus is on Vogel’s life. Truth be told, the essence of Fred Rogers- his kindness and care for beings- is felt even when he is not on screen. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Cori May 31, 2022 Kind of boring. Thought it was going to more about Mr. Roger's, but instead it was about the guy interviewing him See more W J W May 28, 2021 Beautiful, moving, fitting portrayal of an American icon, though he's not actually the main character. See more Karen Mar 1, 2020 Learned a lot more about Mr. Rogers. See more Beverly Feb 18, 2020 Maybe it was because it had so much hype, but I kinda thought it was a little too sweet. See more Martin Feb 17, 2020 It’s difficult for a film to portray goodness without becoming mawkish or Pollyanna, but somehow this film achieves this. Tom Hanks is perfect for this role. I thought it an excellent film and an antidote to the nastiness and violence of much that is offered in cinema these days. See more Liza Feb 15, 2020 Loved it.
