The child actors deliver remarkably natural performances, adding a layer of unsettling realism to the film's disturbing events. The film's ending, though a little goofy, ultimately fits the tone and provides a perfect, short explanation. 'Abigail' is a lean, mean psychological thriller, with echoes of 'American Psycho' in its exploration of a fractured mind.
