James B @RT54975811 3 days ago I didn't like this one as much as I liked the first one, but this is still pretty good. It's worth a watch for some of the great lines. See more Jelisije J @jjosifovic Sep 21, 2026 Probably the best and most underrated Will Ferrell movie. See more K G @KatyG-S Sep 20, 2026 Actually, it is OK, really, not as good. I was not actually always here to have fun for a comedy, although I could have fun to watch any movie. I do not think that Ron was the best character anymore, he lost his job to his wife, soon, he starts cheating with that woman. This time, I choose that Steve Carrell as Brick has that main character energy with him faking his death & attending his own apparent funeral. But the movie was lucky enough to cast many celebrities as other news teams to that climax - Jim Carrey would be an obvious one. Somebody portrays Kanye West for MTV? And I cannot believe they got Will Smith! They could have for Donald Glover as well. Is this supposed to be as satire as "Bee Movie"? Am I seeing this the wrong way? Was this a worthy sequel? See more Erik B @Atma-X Aug 29, 2026 OK, this was funny...but not anywhere close to as funny as the original. Most jokes seemed forced...and I didn't get the vibe that the actors were really enjoying themselves. Christina Applegate is still incredibly beautiful. AEB: This movie is like a meeting that could have just been an email - it shouldn't have happened. See more Brendan K @Bkeller25 Aug 21, 2026 A step down from the first film, but it has its moments. There's definitely a different overall feel, and while not all the jokes stick the landing, the ones that do are some of the funniest between the two. If you weren't a fan of the original, this will not convert you, but it's still a solid enough follow up. The finale is incredible, but it kinda meanders in the middle. I liked how the sequel explored deeper themes and brings more ideas forward than the first one, but at the same time, it loses a bit of that tightness and wittiness. But with that being said, there are plenty of moments that bring a big dumb smile to your face. See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom May 11, 2026 Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is essentially more of the same as the first film, leaning heavily into absurd newsroom comedy and over-the-top antics that define the series. It doesn’t try to change the formula, instead doubling down on it. The ensemble cast returns with the same chemistry, and the humor style stays loud, random, and intentionally ridiculous. The energy is consistent, and it keeps the familiar tone fans would expect. While some jokes feel repetitive or stretched, there are still enough moments that land to keep it entertaining if you enjoyed the original. It knows its audience and sticks to what it does best. Overall, it doesn’t reinvent anything, but it delivers what it promises in a familiar way. I rate it a 7/10. See more Read all reviews
