Morgan Freeman narrates this documentary about two dedicated animal preservationists. Daphne Sheldrick has created an elephant sanctuary in Kenya, while Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas has set up an orphanage for orangutans in Borneo. In both cases, the young animals have been left alone after their parents were killed, by either poachers or similar human incursions into their natural habitats. Viewers get to see the animals nurtured with love and care before they are introduced back into the wild.

One way or another you'll find yourself saying, "Awwwwww." Go to Full Review Kirk Honeycutt The Hollywood Reporter Jan 4, 2012
A terrific big-screen/3D film about the rescue of baby elephants and orangutans by dedicated humans introduces young people to a strong conservation ethic. Go to Full Review Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard Jun 17, 2011
Few will be unmoved by the two women's courage and persistence, though Morgan Freeman's intoning voiceover is less persuasive. Go to Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Jan 31, 2021

Heart warming stuff geared for families topped off by the dulcet tones of Morgan Freeman as narrator. Very small children may find the animal's back stories a bit upsetting but overall this should appeal to everyone in the house. Go to Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Apr 17, 2012

Incredibly moving. Even if you don't have a three-story screen in your home, the film still works marvelously. Go to Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Apr 7, 2012

Does a remarkable job of putting the viewer right with elephants in the Kenyan savannah and orangutans in the lush jungles of Borneo. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Sep 16, 2016 Beautiful 3D and an inspiring story will speak to all of the nature lovers out there. Add Morgan Freeman's narration and you have a winner. See more Jun 7, 2016 interesting but dull See more Jan 30, 2016 As long as there are people in the world that are passionate about assisting nature rather than to destroy or exploit it for power or money, then there is still hope for us as a species. To me, this film is a glimpse of what we (humans) could be if more of us were to cherish the earth we live on. We could solve so many global problems, including but not limited to our own. If we, as a whole, can just wake up and change the way we see the world, the possibilities are endless. Money, fame, and power can't be taken with you when you die....sooo wouldn't it make more since to work towards making the earth a better place for our children and grandchildren and so on? See more Jan 4, 2016 Morgan Freeman narrates a nature documentary. Pretty much all that needs to be said. Both the women filmed are truly incredible and its packed with breathtaking footage of animals. Pretty much 40 minutes of awwww moments. Its also reasonably optimistic which is nice to see from a nature documentary as they do have tendency to be a bit doom and gloom. See more Garamon K @Yoshigizmo May 21, 2015 OK it was boring! But 3D effects were good and orangutans were cute! Morgan Freeman did nice narration... But I don't wanna watch it again! Next! See more Jan 29, 2015 Finalmente la pude ver. Hay gente que merece más que un paraiso. See more Read all reviews
