I do not understand the low ratings for this film. It was unusual for sure, but funny and clever with excellent performances. The script was well paced and it was refreshing to see such a strong female cast in a smart comedy. After seeing it I recommended it and praised it highly and everyone who watched it based on my recommendation absolutely loved it. Maybe it's an acquired taste or only appeals to a demographic who don't get online to write movie reviews! Anyway I recommend you ignore the haters and maybe discover a real hidden gem.

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I cannot for the life of me understand why this great cast volunteered to act in this. Almost everyone dies. Alison Janeys neurotic part wins? What? Why? Violent. Not comedy as proposed. Not even a little. And we paid to watch it. I want the two hours of my life I just wasted back.

Definitely worth a one time watch! I enjoyed this movie. It’s different for sure and has some funny/ridiculous moments that’ll give you a good laugh.

While Allison Janney is game as always, her performance isn’t enough to save the film from its own derivative nature. Despite the talented ensemble cast and a premise ripe for dark satire, the movie struggles to find a consistent tone, ultimately feeling like a diluted imitation of a Coen Brothers classic. As much as Janney tries, this doesn’t rise above being a fairly forgettable Fargo wannabe that misses the mark on both the suspense and the wit it strives so hard to replicate.
