Critics Consensus

Not exactly the alpha of the pack, what Coyotes lacks in bark it makes up for in its unique blend of comedic thrills.

These coyotes, which don't look remotely real at all, undermine everything else that's going on in the movie.

It’s a film that feels like a missed opportunity more than a disaster, a survival thriller that never quite finds its pulse.

Coyotes is a creature feature that struggles to balance being scary, funny, and clever, leaving it entertaining in brief flashes but never fully realizing its potential.

Coyotes is not so bad that it's good. It's just bad. But it's exactly my kind of bad, meaning that I am forced to recommend its shenanigans to anyone who's looking for a mindless, nonsensical creature feature with some really poorly rendered coyotes.

There are some pleasantly humorous performances in Coyotes. Long’s dry line delivery is very effective during the funny moments, and Allen is a riot to watch.

I went into this movie with low expectations. It was actually amazing. Great action with appropriate humor. It was just a fun movie to watch. I was delightfully surprised with this movie. I have to give it 5 stars. It was that much of an enjoyable watch.

This is one of those films that isn’t meant to be taken seriously, at all. It’s a little wonky & flawed but that’s obvious from the very start. I’m a Justin Long fan so I’ll always support him but the direction of this felt a bit all over the place.

Weird looking special effects (kinda looks like AI) and not a very good script, but the cast did their best. Sorry but coyotes are actually less scary and convincing threats than the birds from....that movie about the birds attacking? You know the one.
