Wu’s magnetic performance pulls you toward Rachel’s side; you want her to stand up for herself, you want her to choose what’s best for her, even if it’s not the easy thing, which is what truly makes this movie unforgettable.

Reading the reviews on here is a great reminder of why I should never listen to other peoples opinion. I wonder how many good movies I’ve missed cause I looked at what others thought. I’ve watched this movie twice and loved it.

I was disappointed given all the hype. Constance Wu is a shining presence and the production is lavish. The film is very Hollywoodish. It's predictable, and uses the the same old tired tropes that being rich is also being superficial and Trumpish. The Awkwafina character deserved Razzies. How she wasn't edited out is mystifying.

I thought it was pretty bland. It wasn't particularly funny. It wasn't particularly emotional or moving. Even the main conflict of the movie didn't seem that tense and felt like it lacked an edge. I was waiting for things to pick up but it never did. This felt like a background movie. At least it was visually stunning.
