Kieran S @nuovze Jan 3 It’s like the original plot of Deathnote was passed through 1,000 people in a game of telephone. Horrific, heinous atrocity of an interpretation/adaption of the manga/anime. They made Light just a typical white teenager who likes a girl, of course she's a cheerleader. In the anime/manga it's clear that Light has no interest in dating anyone. When he does, it's for his own benefit. In my opinion the only accurate character was Ryuk, that's it. Misa's now "Mia." Unlike the anime, she's not obsessed with him and just overall isn't the blonde we're all familiar with. I don't even know what they did to L, there's no longer the voice distortion when he communicates through the computer, instead of his classic jeans and white long sleeve shirt he's wearing all black with a mask for some reason. They didn't make L that smart nonchalant character we all love, in one scene he gets frustrated and angry to where he's yelling and throws tableware. This is not Death Note, it's been "American-ized." It feels more like Twilight but worse. El protagonista no desarrolla de manera completa ni su propósito ni sus métodos, a diferencia de la serie original. El villano cuenta con un desarrollo de personaje prácticamente nulo y rompe totalmente con el estereotipo japonés; además, a diferencia de la serie, posee un motivo pobre y una sed de venganza que en ningún momento ocurre en la obra original. Ryuk cambia totalmente su personalidad para intentar encajar en la trama (sin lograrlo adecuadamente) y presenta una pésima adaptación de diseño, al igual que la libreta. La novia del protagonista cambia completamente su estética y pierde su papel original para desempeñar otro totalmente diferente, también con un desarrollo mínimo y cambios de rol constantes que intentan, sin éxito, generar incertidumbre. Una adaptación digna únicamente del sello de Netflix y del poco respeto hacia el arte original.
