Christian K @ckacar Jul 5, 2026 Dreadful. Travolta and Vaughn are in a movie long struggle for the worst line readings and acting. Completely perplexing characters and plot structure. See more Blake- N @PBSAniDom Jun 7, 2026 Domestic Disturbance is a mediocre thriller from Paramount that never quite lives up to its premise. It has the setup for something tense and interesting, but the film ends up feeling flat and underwhelming overall. The biggest weakness is the cast, especially the lead performances. Even with names like John Travolta, Vince Vaughn, Teri Polo, Steve Buscemi, and Matthew O'Leary, the movie never really finds strong chemistry or convincing energy. The story also struggles to keep the suspense going. Instead of building real tension, it relies on material that feels predictable and forgettable, which makes the film hard to stay invested in. Overall, Domestic Disturbance is a disappointing thriller that had potential but never came together in a satisfying way. It is watchable, but only just a 4/10 for me, possibly a worth to watch for the 2nd time See more Monica B @Chartreusea May 17, 2026 This movie is hysterical, you have to watch it from a "so bad it’s good" point of view- it’s like what happens when big stars agree to let high schoolers direct a movie. You have to watch for these moments- like when they are honoring the stepfather at a big banquet and John travolta is waiting outside, and everyone at the banquet leaves together out one door in a big group, as if it were a fire drill- lol. If you watch for these scene gems, and there are many, you will love this movie See more David B. @lourose May 14, 2026 Although predictable, I found this film to be an entertaining 90 minute movie. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch May 11, 2026 Domestic Disturbance is a surprisingly effective thriller that deserves far more credit than many critics originally gave it. Starring John Travolta and Vince Vaughn, the film delivers suspense, emotional tension, and enough mystery to keep viewers invested throughout most of the runtime. One of the movie’s biggest strengths is seeing Vince Vaughn step into a darker and more intimidating role. His performance creates constant uneasiness and gives the film much of its suspenseful atmosphere. John Travolta also does a strong job portraying a father desperately trying to protect his son from a dangerous situation that continues to spiral out of control. The story focuses heavily on domestic violence, manipulation, and hidden danger, which gives the film emotional weight beyond being just another thriller. While some scenes feel predictable and rough around the edges, the pacing remains engaging enough to keep the tension high. See more Read all reviews
