The film isn’t truly frightening by today’s standards, but its goofy menace and over the top kills still make it a fun ride. Holly Marie Combs is a welcome presence, giving the story a likable center, and the rest of the cast leans into the madness with energy that fits the era. The screenplay is corny and proud of it, packed with pun filled threats and moments that feel lifted straight from a late night VHS shelf. That dated style is exactly why it works, reminding you of a time when horror could be silly and unsettling at once. Dr. Giggles won’t convert modern viewers looking for realism, but for fans of classic slasher vibes, it’s an entertaining trip back to the glory days of campy scares. See more Robson C @RT82519826 01/03/2025 Evan Rendell foge da instituição mental onde estava internado com o intuito de se vingar da cidade onde o seu pai foi morto pelos habitantes locais. Aqui temos um serial killer dos mais criativos, pois o assassino se passa por médico e só utiliza de equipamentos médicos para matar as suas vítimas. Larry Drake constrói muito bem o personagem, mantendo um ar de perigo e tensão quando ele surge, ao mesmo tempo que possui um humor doentio, fazendo piadinhas com referências a médicos, ao mesmo tempo que não faz com que a risadinha do personagem não soe ridícula, mas servindo até como um prenúncio para o público da sua chegada. Porém a criatividade utilizada com o assassino não é nenhum pouco utilizada nos demais personagens que são as típicas vítimas em um slasher movie. A própria personagem principal é muito chata, com um drama nenhum um pouco convincente para pegar a plateia. O namorado é outro palermão. Larry Drake's performance was amazing, and Brian May's score was impressive. The gore effects and the blood was pretty good, when I finished the movie I described it in one word: "Impressive". Manny Coto's direction was also good, but the screenplay was a mixed-to-positive for me. Regardless, I'll give the film 4 out of 5 stars and an "A-" grade. Worth a watch! See more Read all reviews
