It perfectly encapsulates the many sides and moods of Stanley Kubrick, flitting with dreamlike sensibilities, dark humor, stark cinematography and thematic ambiguity

This movie was just extremely slow and pointless, like there was no take away from the film. Too much nudity. Incredibly slow and useless dialogue. I legit just want to look at the script at this point, whether they were intentionally just dragging their lines and some scenes and characters were totally pointless added absolutely nothing to the plot and the plot is soo dumb. Terrible movie, disappointed that Tom cruise was involved in this.

Bloated, plodding, with a truly incoherent plot, not even Kidman and Cruise and wonderful cinematography and a gripping, iconic score can salvage it. Watchable, creepy, and yet utterly forgettable other than for its feverish commitment to the male gaze.
