Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. While the identity of the villain knocking off the prom queen candidates is obvious, the sheer uninhibited Road Runner meets Wile E. Coyote excitement of the climax remains delightfully infectious.

There’s a lot of limb-severing and such. But “Fear Street: Prom Queen” never rises above its pedestrian concept, which simply lifts cliches from standard slice-and-dice opuses...without ever figuring just how seriously it wants to take them.

Fear Street: Prom Queen (2025) Honestly, this movie shouldn't exist at all. It's a piece of bad taste; the perfect trilogy that was released in 2021 didn't need another low-quality film with the same name.

this movie does NOT deserve the hate it gets. my review is slightly biased because im a teenage girl, but this movie is GREAT. i hate that people complain about the writing cause its FUNNY. ITS FUNNY WRITING. IT FEELS LIKE A HIGHSCHOOL MOVIE. BECAUSE IT IS !!! its a high school movie TURNED INTO A SLASHER MOVIE !!! once again i think i just have a bias. i didnt expect the plot twist, but maybe im just stupid.

I liked the movie. Fear Street: Prom Queen works well as a straightforward 80s-style slasher. The main character is solidly developed for what the film proposes, without much complexity. The murder mystery keeps you engaged, with shifting suspects and a couple of effective plot twists. There are nice connections to the other films in the franchise. The teenage cast delivers good performances, and the deaths are violent enough without excess. While some aspects could be better developed, it’s an enjoyable and decent movie, perfect for a Saturday night with friends or family. It gives closure to its characters and leaves room for future stories.
