Critics Consensus

Harrison Ford's rote performance brings little to this uninspired techno-heist film whose formulaic plot is befuddled with tedious and improbable twists.

The twinkle of mischievousness and sprinkle of levity that Ford brought to many of his most memorable films were mostly MIA by this point, replaced by a cranky fatigue that’s difficult to watch and impossible to enjoy. Go to Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Jan 27, 2014

See more Guga T @RT53404358 May 26, 2025 Do you really think a film critic is able to understand technology to talk about that kind of story? No, they aren't even capable to be movie directors, that's why the only criticize others work, because they aren't capable to create them self's. See more Broden S @RT56415085 Mar 17, 2025 A decent thriller movie at best. It has some points that drag a bit. While the acting is solid enough, it's really just a popcorn movie. See more Yash B @yashbansal Feb 16, 2025 "Firewall" starts off interesting enough and I almost thought I was in for a fun ride. Unfortunately, after the setup the movie just falls apart. The thrills feel weak and the story just didn't engage me. I feel Harrison Ford was doing his best here, but this script just couldn't be saved. I found myself kind of bored and then when it ended, I really just felt relief that it was over. Overall, it is an uninspired thriller that had the potential to be fun, but it just was not entertaining for myself, and doesn't utilize the talent of someone like Harrison Ford.
