An odd early short from Kubrick cutting his teeth. Tells the tale of a plane flying priest (no honestly). In today's world this would just be a 30 second slot on the local news. See more 05/04/2012 Probably the best of the short documentaries made by Kubrick before he began his career in feature filmmaking. It follows the life of a Priest in New Mexico who has a plane and flies from one problem to the next in order to help the members of his parish, who seem to be spread out all over the area. It is a really bizarre little story. It is still kind of hard to watch these old documentaries with nothing but some mundane music, a narrator, and some sound effects. I would have loved to here the subject talk, or some of the people he is flying too...instead we have this newsreel narration telling us what is going on.
