Joaquin U @Joaquin1 41m Entertaining. It really was the Donald Pleasence franchise until his passing in 1995—he’s the main act. Not alone, though, with Harris making a notable debut and delivering a convincing character as a child actress. The rest of the cast is serviceable. The script is so‑so, and the direction lacks rhythm. It has its moments, but not much in the way of thrills or scares. The fact is, this return kicked off many more returns for the killer, shifting him from lunatic to supernatural monster to pop icon. Worth a watch, if only for the sake of horror cinema history. Danielle Harris did superb in her first feature movie as Jamie. Rachel was good, but a piece of trivia about Rachel is. Rachel smelled in Halloween 4 because due to a tight budget and a tight grueling filming schedule, Rachel was given only one outfit, a sweater, and jeans to wear during the entire 36 straight days of filming. They were never washed. During her later filmed scenes, her outfit, especially her jeans, had developed a body sweat odor smell on them. Dr Loomis face make up could have been better. A forma que o filme sujo as mãos no final, e como expõe a loucura pós traumática e geracional envolvendo o Loomies e a garotinha é bem forte. Até o modo como a direção evita estímulos muito fortes revelam uma ideia de envelhecimento bem boa para a franquia. Uma pena que tudo isso acaba sendo traduzido para um longo extremamente sem fôlego. Cenas de terror são interrompidas e picotadas depois de um suspense construído, e a falta de variedade de planos de câmera e fotografia pouco estilizados só destaca um tom genérico de todo o projeto, em que qualquer respiro de criatividade é bem calculado.
