Infantry paratrooper Chick Allen (Dean Martin) summons his close friend, bumbling entertainer Hap Smith (Jerry Lewis), to Fort Belding to assist in putting on a revue. Explaining that commanding officer Gen. Timmons (Ray Teal) dislikes and bans "amateur" shows, Chick believes his and Hap's act will restore the general's faith in soldier entertainment. Hap agrees to perform under the assumed identity of Dogface Dolan, but soon finds that playing a soldier is harder than he imagined.

04/19/2019 I desperately wish I could find a DVD in color. All I can find is second hand movies or black and white in the Dean & Jerry vol. 1 collection which is expensive, at least in Canada. See more 11/24/2012 'Jumping Jacks' is the first Martin and Lewis comedy I truly enjoyed. It's packed with hilarious gags, great chemistry between the leads and a fantastic supporting cast. Standard formula, and even though it's Jerry-centric, the gags just aren't that great. Nothing about it is awful though.
