The Willy Wonka parallels are about as blatant as the nominative determinism of the mysterious benefactor's surname. Go to Full Review Hilary A White Sunday Independent (Ireland) Mar 3, 2021

It's perfectly serviceable and rather tame, a good, safe watch for tweens complete with expository ballads. Go to Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Oct 29, 2020

A cheerful teen attitude infuses this sci-fi adventure with enough interest to keep us watching, even if it's never remotely challenging. Go to Full Review Jo Berry Movies4Kids Oct 26, 2020

Mark B @Mbindon Apr 7, 2024 The movie probably works for kids 14 and under. Its premise is somewhat derivative of Willy Wonka but with updated relatable traits and problems. You could do worse a fine TV movie. See more Rick M @RT28141542 Feb 5, 2024 Fairly profound, in a number of ways. The music was pretty good, too. See more Jan 1, 2022 How this movie got a 80% is baffling to me, I'm only 30 mins in and its already ripped off star wars, charlie and the chocolate factory, and a slew of other movies. This is a steaming pile of shit, I've lost faith in Rotten tomatos ratings system. Have a nice day See more Jun 9, 2021 This movie really captured real life situation. I loved the meaning behind the movie. It was almost like clue. It really had you guessing. See more May 23, 2021 How has this film got such high scores. It's clearly low budget and boy does it show. The special effects are amateur, plot line poor and excitement at the lowest level imaginable. I'll never get those 98 back!!! See more Feb 22, 2021 What I expected: A horor movie where a bunch of teens were killed off one at a time. What I got: Charlie & the Chocolate Factory with GladDOS from Portal.
