My Best Friend’s Dead is a horror movie centered around two girls, and I honestly thought there was going to be much more to the story than what I got. There were so many missed opportunities that the horror element felt like it was missing. I kept waiting for the movie to develop into something that would actually grab my attention, but it never really happened. The screenplay was a struggle because everything felt so back-and-forth without any real connection. I never felt like these two were actually best friends. Their relationship came across more like two college roommates who didn’t really like each other and simply got stuck together. That made it difficult to care about what was happening between them. I really wish there had been more substance and stronger development because there was potential here. Unfortunately, the movie never found that connection or gave me enough reason to stay invested. It didn’t grab my attention, and I definitely wouldn’t rewatch it.

My Best Friend's Dead sounds chaotic in the best way possible. Horror and comedy together can either be a mess or super fun — this one actually looks entertaining.
