1936. As villages across mandatory Palestine rise against British colonial rule, Yusuf drifts between his rural home and the restless energy of Jerusalem, longing for a future beyond the growing unrest. But history is relentless. With rising numbers of Jewish immigrants escaping antisemitism in Europe, and the Palestinian population uniting in the largest and longest uprising against Britain's 30-year dominion, all sides spiral towards inevitable collision in a decisive moment for the British Empire and the future of the entire region.

Old-fashioned and a little staid... [But] well-done, stirring and dramatic.

Incredibly well acted and filmed ( I especially liked the incorporation of vintage film footage). This film is a must see for everyone that cares about what is happening in the world today.

Excellent acting! Very emotional! So important to see the perspective of the Palestinian people and the conflicts even among themselves. A must see. Im so happy to see a film like this made and I hope more will be produced to create awareness about what has been going on.

Insightful, long overdue dramatization of major roots of the current conflict: brutal British Imperial conceit and genocidal fascism.
