While you should know going in what Penny Lane is Dead is going to show you, I say stick with this one, no matter how uncomfortable the experience of watching may prove to be.

The bits where Wright-Mendelsohn and Fereday, both of them great, slug it out and hurl insults at each other are the best parts of the film, full of Catfight-style grudge-match malice.

In spirit, this is a film of the present rather than the past.

Brutal gore, sapphic romance, and old-school Ozploitation thrills collide in Mia’Kate Russell’s exciting feature debut.

There is an awesome ending that awaits those who can make it there, turning Penny Lane Is Dead into one of the sickest Sapphic date night movies ever.

Writer-direcctor Mia Kate Russell’s debut feature is the kind of movie that’s borderline--“good,” but almost too nasty to be enjoyed, like the gnarliest of retro exploitation films it lends a not-entirely-redeeming Grrr Power spin to.

Literally the plot and runtime were just insanely long shots of people staring intently. The "horror" element is just dumb decisions and the "heroes" just not killing the villains. Like it's 2026, this is just edging and it's the worst most annoying feeling you can make a viewer feel is frustration. I had to fast forward through some of the empty scenes and 1:30 later they hadn't moved! Still staring. That's just bad writing. They actors did well, but you can't polish a turd.

Interesting watch for family jealousy turned murder mayhem.

What a wild and crazy good time. Nice twist in the end and plenty of bloody kills makes this 90 minute horror comedy movie a blast to watch. The make-up effects are great and I absolutely loved these characters. We need more horror movies like this. Australians know how to make a good movie. Tim Treakle

The whole story line was horrible. Acting was bad. There were so many inconsistencies in the overall production of the whole movie. Waist of time.
